Nigeriaの雄、Fela Anikulapo Kutiが提唱した音楽”AfroBeat”を継承するバンド。 バンド名であるJaribuとは、スワヒリ語で”挑戦する”、という意味で、Felaの精神を受け継ぎつつ、世界各国のAfroBeat系アーティストとコンタクトを取りNeoAfrobeatのアプローチを模索、展開している。2009年4月にはSoulGardenRecordsより1stAlbum を発表後、"FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL09"等、多数野外フェス、都内クラブイベント出没中！！ そして2010年10月アナログ7インチシングル”Legend of Yoruba”発売決定！！
